For two years, Lauren worked as the founding Art Director for a new quarterly publication about local food on Martha’s Vineyard. In addition to serving as a micro-cultural beacon for Island locavores, EV was also a pilot project for Ready-Media, a company that sells pre-designed magazine and newspaper templates. Lauren used the templates (originally designed by Robb Rice), stunning photos by Elizabeth Cecil and her own illustrations (and many by other artists, too) to create issues filled with meticulously designed, eye-catching layouts.
